Priest Lake - Upper Priest Lake

Upper Priest Lake
Upper Priest Lake
Upper Priest is unspoiled by development. There is nothing there but nature, itself. Once out of the Thorofare, we sailed from tip to tip and noted fine anchorages at both ends. As evening fell, the winds died and the serenity was impressive. We heard only 3 sounds: the running of a creek, birds calling and fish jumping. It is difficult to recall a more peaceful place.

After the "day boat traffic" left, we only had to share the lake with 1 other boat and they were at the far end and out of site.

If you do venture through the Thorofare, plan on spending at least one night on Upper Priest Lake. You will be glad you did.
