Priest Lake - Outlet Bay

Outlet Bay Outlet Bay is the location where Priest River starts its journey southward. We tossed out the anchor and fired up the barbecue for lunch. I could see this as a potential overnight anchorage as it is quite shallow with a sand bottom. Watch the depth as you enter the bay. The ground sneaks up on you in a hurry. We anchored in about 5 feet of water and were still several hundred feet offshore.

If you do happen to venture close to where the river starts (I guess there is a small dam there), be cautious of some overhead power lines. We didn't even try to get close due to the shoals.
