Lucky Peak - Arrowrock Dam

Arrowrock Dam At the far east end of Lucky Peak reservoir you will find Arrowrock dam. It is a large concrete arch dam holding back the water of Arrowrock reservoir. It is a fun lunch spot and is a much cooler spot on the lake due to the cold water shooting out in the air from the dam. Be cautious of a cable crossing the channel with signs attached warning you to stay clear of the dam. The water can also be quite turbulant due to the water coming through the dam.

Sometimes in early spring after a good snowpack, the high runoff from the river system is too much to be passed by the normal valves in the dam. When this happens, you can see a spectacular water fall just to the north end of the dam as water pours over the spillway.
